Whether it's coffee, tea or cocoa, we all have a favorite. Here's a few ways to spice'em up.

Chocolate Orange Coffee

Make this decedent coffee right in your coffee maker!

Mix 2 teaspoons of good quality cocoa in with your coffee grinds.

Add 2 teaspoons of orange extract in the bottom of the pot and brew.

Pour yourself a cup, add cream and sugar to taste, grab a book and enjoy.

Carrot Cake Cappuccino

5 fresh carrots
1 cup milk
3 tbsp. heavy cream
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. all spice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
whipped cream (optional)

Over medium-high heat, boil carrots until soft. Strain and mash carrots until very smooth. Return carrots to pot and add remaining ingredients, stirring constantly over heat for 5 minutes.

Pour in coffee cups, add a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar on top.

Creamy Chai

Ingredients

2 cups water
2 tea bags
1 cinnamon stick
6 cardamom seeds, crushed
1 whole clove
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2-1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup sugar
Sweetened whipped cream, ground cinnamon and cinnamon sticks.

Directions

Mix the first six ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 5 minutes.

2. Stir in milk and return to a boil. Boil for 1 minute, strain and stir in sugar. Pour into cups, top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with cinnamon and add a cinnamon stick for stirring.

Chocolate Banana Shake

2 cups milk
3 tbsp cocoa powder
2 bananas, peeled and chopped
2 cups chocolate ice cream
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. gourmet coffee

Add ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.

* For a thicker shake, add more banana.

Hot Butterscotch

1 cup milk
1 tbsp. brown sugar (packed)
1 tsp. butter flavoured extract
32 miniature white marshmallows

Pour milk, brown sugar and butter extract in a medium size saucepan and stir. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture begins to boil.

Reduce the heat to low and add a little over half the marshmallows. Continue stirring until marshmallows melt. Remove from heat and using a wisk, whip the mixture until it becomes light and frothy.

Place a few marshmallows in the bottom of cups and pour butterscotch mixture over the marshmallows.

Apple Caramel Shake

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups of vanilla yogurt (frozen)
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup of applesauce
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup caramel dessert topping
4 cinnamon sticks (garnish)

Directions

Combine ingredients in a blender, cover and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses, dust with cinnamon and add a cinnamon stick.
